Lesley Wenting is a Recruitment Consultant at Projob and is one of the first faces you will see when you walk in the door at Projob. People that know him well say that he is always there for others, ready to help and really wants to make people happy.
If you’re so attuned to people, it’s only logical that you choose a study program that’s all about being in contact with people. Lesley followed the Leisure & Hospitality study program in Haarlem. During his internships abroad, he had a chance to meet people from all over the world. What he learned from this was: “Everybody has their own story and that is something special.”
The role that Lesley takes on within the team is also people-focused. He is a facilitator and he is happy when everyone in the team feels comfortable. When people feel free, communication improves and that is something that he values a lot. If he sees that someone is having a hard time, he intervenes to lend a helping hand and find a solution together.
If you ask Lesley what he will remember forever, he will tell you: “In 2018, I went to the temple Tōdai-ji in Japan. I stood eye to eye with the largest bronze Buddha statue in Japan. It stands 16,2 meters high and weighs 500 tons. This was such a gift for me and will always stay with me as one of the most impressive moments of my life. I was completely awestruck.”
How else can you make Lesley completely quiet so that he loses all track of time? Give him a video game! He loves a good JRPG. He can get lost in one for hours.
