An outplacement programme provides active support for employees transitioning into new employment. As a responsible employer, you offer careful and respectful guidance and a dignified departure in situations such as organisational restructuring, differences of opinion or changing job requirements. The right to outplacement support is usually set out in a social plan or settlement agreement.
At Projob, we advise and support employees in taking their next career step. We prefer the term nextplacement, as it emphasises the positive side of such a transition: moving forward towards new opportunities.
When an employer pays for all or part of an outplacement programme directly, or includes it separately in a settlement agreement, these costs may, under certain conditions, be reimbursed tax-free. This means that the employee does not have to pay for the programme from their taxable statutory transition payment, which can be more financially advantageous.
For employers, this can also be an attractive option, as no social security contributions are due on the amount allocated to the outplacement programme, and the funds are used directly to support the employee’s transition into new employment.
Every individual outplacement programme at Projob is designed to ensure that, by the end of the process, participants have a clear perspective on their next position in the labour market, whether immediately or following retraining or further professional development.
We prefer to call outplacement nextplacement because it highlights the positive aspect of such a transition: taking the next step.
One of Projob’s key strengths is our in-house recruitment team, which may be able to support participants in securing a new position. In addition, Projob has an extensive professional network that provides direct access to career opportunities.
