Anne Nilsson is a Flexpool Planner and Recruitment Consultant at Projob. Born and raised in Belgium, she is fluent in French and English in addition to speaking pretty good Dutch. Having lived in England for over 20 years, in London, Anne supported women in prison who were experiencing challenges with the criminal justice system. Having studied psychology, Anne says, "Understanding how people function and interact has always fascinated me." A highlight of her social work in England was establishing an 'outreach team' that provided assistance and safety to women outside the prison. "For a change, we went to them, not the other way around. A good initiative."
Another achievement that Anne takes pride in is completing her very first 5-kilometer race. This accomplishment led to running longer distances and eventually even an ultra-marathon. "That was also special and certainly a victory, but I am most proud of those first 5 kilometers. Because I had never thought it possible that I would ever achieve this. It was a struggle for six months, starting from scratch on my own. There is a lot of discipline, blood, sweat, and tears in that."
Music is also a passion for Anne. She plays the guitar and enjoys attending concerts, including classical ones. "It's magical how a conductor and orchestra collaborate. I remember being completely impressed by the conductor Elim Chan. Her conducting baton seemed like an extension of her arm, incredible how well she could communicate with the orchestra. I couldn't take my eyes off her and would have gladly taken over. But I think, unfortunately, I don't have those skills, haha."
Others say about Anne: "Great to be around because she's always up for a good time! She is approachable, never takes herself too seriously. And Anne is always there when needed."
